Stone Coaster Care

The Other Coasters
Our stone coasters are not thin round disc, square bisque tiles, sand stone rock or other similar products with minimal absorbing ability and fragile cork bottoms.

Stone Coaster Genuine WaterStone Coasters
WaterStone Coasters are in fact made from an exclusive blend of materials and special manufacturing process to produce a unique 3/8 inch thick ceramic stone coaster with unparalleled absorbing power. Images are custom printed with a special fade resistant ink that will not obstruct the coasters absorbency and will endure years of everyday use and cleaning. Each coaster is backed with a soft, yet durable moisture proof neoprene pad to protect all furniture surfaces.

Coaster Care
Over time beverage residues will accumulate on your stone coasters which can create unsightly stains and obstruct the coasters ability to absorb moisture. The following cleaning procedures were developed especially for WaterStone Coasters to help you keep them looking and working their best.

Normal Cleaning Procedure

Fill a bowl or basin with warm to hot water and add a squirt of dishwashing liquid in the water. Place coasters in the soapy water and wash off with a sponge or soft nylon brush. Hint! For extra cleaning power, add a small amount of household chlorine bleach, ¼ cup or so to the soapy water. After washing, rinse off the coasters well under running water and let them dry out before using again.

Stubborn Stain Procedure

In a bowl or basin add 2 cups hot water and 1/2 cup of household chlorine bleach and soak coasters for about 1 hour. Empty water and refill container with fresh hot water and soak coaster again for about 15 minutes. This will help to remove any remaining chlorine bleach left in the coasters. Then rinse off coasters again under warm running water and let them dry before using again.
